Profoundly autistic and largely speechless, 10-year-old Kristina Vlassenko was clearly at risk if she became lost, even within her Arvada neighborhood. So her family took steps to protect her, including putting a beacon around her wrist designed to send a signal when activated so authorities could quickly find her.
