The evidence gathered does not justify the filing of criminal charges, said Lee and Cushing Police Chief Terry Brannan in a prepared statement. The evidence indicated the drowning was an unfortunate accident, Lee said.
Blake Murrell died April 19. His body was found in a pond at a Cushing park hours after he was reported missing from his home nearby.
Police investigated the death in part because Murrell was left unattended for an hour and a half the morning he went missing.
