Missing Okeechobee Child Found Dead In Pond - West Palm Beach News Story - WPBF West Palm Beach

Okeechobee County sheriff's deputies said a 6-year-old who had been missing since early Tuesday afternoon was found dead in a nearby retention pond.Deputies said Willie Alexander Jr. was last seen walking along the railroad tracks near Southeast 40th Avenue in the Pine Glades Estates subdivision."The story we had received on our arrival was that the family had gone outside to take the garbage out and the child was inside, and when they came back inside the house, the child was gone," Detective Ted Van Deman said.
