A missing autistic teen from Edmonton was found dead in the North Saskatchewan River.
Jarrett Bortscher, 18, went missing from his parent’s south Edmonton home Sunday evening. His family and Edmonton police asked for the public’s help finding him.
On Wednesday, after more than 60 hours since his disappearance, a Facebook group dedicated to the search announced Bortscher had been found, but not alive.
“Words cannot express the family’s loss,” said family friend Josie Thrasher. “Jarrett was a wonderful son and brother —he was dearly loved and will be forever missed.”
