Toronto police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing autistic teen last seen near a North York junior high.
A search team with a canine unit has been searching the Leslie and Steeles area for Stephen Liu, 14, who was last seen riding his blue mountain bike shortly after leaving Zion Heights Junior High School around 3 p.m. Tuesday. Police expanded the search citywide on Wednesday morning when Stephen did not show up to school.
The boy is described by police as being a high-functioning autistic.
"He has no history of going missing, and that's what concerns us, is that there is no pattern or previous occurrences," Staff-Sgt. John Babier said.
