Children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder are NOT included in the criteria for issuing an Amber Alert. This really needs to change.

Missing Girl with Autism Found in Only 25 Minutes!

MIDDLETON — Jamie Earnshaw’s worst nightmare became a reality late Friday afternoon, but the outcome couldn’t have been better.

Earnshaw is the mother of an autistic child who wandered away.

Emma, 7, was wearing a Project Lifesaver transmitter bracelet and was found within half an hour by the Valley Search and Rescue team.
