Nadia Bloom 11 Autistic Child MISSING in Florida

Nadia Bloom, 11 is missing. She has autism and has been without her medication. She was last seen Friday, April 9, 2010 in the afternoon. Her bicycle was discovered at the end of a cul-de-sac on her street. Police have been doing aerial searches and ground searches. Nadia is white, about 5 feet tall and 85 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt and blue shorts. She was carrying a black backpack with a horse on it. If seen, please contact immediately the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tip Line at (866) 282-0672, your local police, or 911.

Searchers and a dive team are looking through a swampy wooded area in Winter Springs hoping to find an 11-year-old girl with mental disabilities who went missing Friday afternoon.

The search for Nadia Bloom has expanded to an area about 2 or 3 square miles around a wooded area in her Barrington Estates neighborhood — and authorities now are looking at other possible reasons for her disappearance, Winter Springs police Chief Kevin Brunelle said Saturday.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement child-abduction team is helping in the search effort, but the agency's presence doesn't mean authorities think Nadia was abducted, Brunelle said.

"We have nothing that tells us this girl has been kidnapped," he said. "It's just something we have to do."
