Missing with Autism: Desiree Oldwoman (Edmonton)

GLEICHEN – RCMP are searching for a 21-year-old autistic woman from the Siksika First Nation.

Desiree Oldwoman was last seen on Saturday night around 8:30p.m. Police believe she may have wandered away from her home.

Desiree is around 5’4” tall and weighs 165 lbs. She has short brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a brown sweater and black pants with a red stripe. She does not speak but can write her name.

Investigators are unsure of where she may have wandered off to but she may have been spotted walking along Highway #901.

NEW HAVEN — After combing the streets of New Haven with 12-15 volunteers Sunday in a fruitless search for his 17-year-old son, Clark Carman said he is baffled and frustrated.

“Nothing, no leads,” said Carman following hours of walking around downtown under a steady rain.

Nathan Carman of Middletown has not been seen since a surveillance camera filmed him getting off a bus at the corner of Church and Chapel streets Thursday afternoon.

“It’s like ‘The Twilight Zone,’” his father said. “A person steps off the bus and disappears.

MONROE TWP. — The aunt of an apparently autistic boy who drowned last week in a lake near their home has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child, the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office said Wednesday.

Felicia Tucker, 26, of 12th Avenue was released on her own recognizance after the charge was filed, prosecutor’s office spokesman Bernie Weisenfeld said.

Tucker was looking after her nephew, Joshua Moore, on Aug. 1 when he slipped out of her home near Victory Lake.

COLUMBIA, Tenn.- A 9-year-old boy with autism wandered away from home Sunday afternoon and sparked a full-blown search by law enforcement and volunteers alike.

Maury County Sheriff Enoch George summed it up Sunday afternoon when he said it would tickle him beyond belief if every story could end with an outcome like this.

Nine-year-old Johnny Hahn was found a few minutes after 4:00, after a coon hound named Mason happened upon his scent. Handler Ysela Carrillo said they used a pair of shorts Johnny had slept in the previous night to familiarize the dog with the child's scent.

WILLIAMSTOWN — A 2-year-old Monroe boy has died after being found in a Williamstown lake, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office.

The boy, described to authorities as autistic, was reported missing from his family's home at 8:23 p.m. Monday. The boy's aunt called police after finding the front door of the house open.

According to the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office, the boy's aunt and her friend found the boy in approximately three feet of water in Victory Lake, which is 100 yards from the 12th Avenue home where the aunt was looking for him.

An autistic girl has been rescued after she was found clinging to a tree in the Little Sioux River.

Eleven-year-old McKenzie Stevens was reported missing from her home in Spencer about 7 Saturday morning.
KITV-TV reports search crews tracked her to the river, about six blocks from her home. The girl's clothes were found on a trail and her footprints led to the water.

The girl was found clinging to a tree six miles downstream about five hours after she went missing. Authorities believe she was in the water for three hours.
