Missing with Autism: Erik Lippmann, Santa Cruz, CA

Autism and Missing? 3 or 30, We're Concerned. Erik Lippmann, Santa Cruz, CA

Erik Lippman I often think back to the book, I'll Love You Forever, when I look at my girls. I used to sing to them, "I'll love you forever. I'l like you for always. As long as I'm living my baby you'll be." Little did I know that those words would have a sharper, more poignant meaning than I ever expected.

Erik Lippmann, age 30, autism, is missing from his home in Santa Cruz. He is someone's baby. It's been a tough month for missing people with autism. The ending isn't always happy. If you have info to help find Erik, please alert the Santa Cruz police. KS

Jeffrey Cooper went missing form his home in East Boston last night at around 7:30 P.M.

Cooper has trouble communicating his needs due to his autism. He enjoys riding trains so police believe he may try to visit the South End area or the Boston Garden. Cooper has a history of wandering away before and was located on the MBTA red line in Braintree and Quincy.

He was last seen wearing a white Celtics T-shirt with white running pants with a purple stripe down the side. He was also wearing a black hat and blue and white sneakers.

Missing with Autism: Nadia Bloom (Renewed Hope?)

Back to square one deemed "renewed hope."

WINTER SPRINGS -- Searchers are returning to a Seminole County subdivision Monday morning, looking for a missing 11-year-old autistic girl.

Nadia Bloom has been missing since Friday. However, there's renewed hope now thanks to a tip from the missing girl’s sister.

Since Friday all searchers have started at the spot where they found Nadia's bike and expanded outward into ponds, swamps and the woods.

Late Sunday, Bloom’s sister showed the search teams where she and Nadia would play.

They said she also wrote a story about going out to explore nature.

That's what authorities have thought Nadia was doing all along, and why they haven't suspected foul play.

Police are concerned because the area around her Barrington Estates home is full of hazards, such as waist-high mud, snakes and alligators.

Nadia Bloom 11 Autistic Child MISSING in Florida

Nadia Bloom, 11 is missing. She has autism and has been without her medication. She was last seen Friday, April 9, 2010 in the afternoon. Her bicycle was discovered at the end of a cul-de-sac on her street. Police have been doing aerial searches and ground searches. Nadia is white, about 5 feet tall and 85 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt and blue shorts. She was carrying a black backpack with a horse on it. If seen, please contact immediately the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tip Line at (866) 282-0672, your local police, or 911.

Searchers and a dive team are looking through a swampy wooded area in Winter Springs hoping to find an 11-year-old girl with mental disabilities who went missing Friday afternoon.

The search for Nadia Bloom has expanded to an area about 2 or 3 square miles around a wooded area in her Barrington Estates neighborhood — and authorities now are looking at other possible reasons for her disappearance, Winter Springs police Chief Kevin Brunelle said Saturday.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement child-abduction team is helping in the search effort, but the agency's presence doesn't mean authorities think Nadia was abducted, Brunelle said.

"We have nothing that tells us this girl has been kidnapped," he said. "It's just something we have to do."

LOK8U NUM8 Child Locator GPS (Autism)

nu·m8 (pronounced new-mate) is the world's first and smallest GPS locator device specifically designed with children in mind. nu·m8 is a watch that conceals GSM and GPS modules that enable you to locate your child, whenever you feel you need to know, via the internet or through your mobile phone (SMS/Text).

Give Your Kids Freedom... and You Peace of Mind

nu·m8 is the first GPS locator that actually locates your child not just the device through a unique and patented mechanism. Unlike other devices, nu·m8 can not be forgotten in a bag, lunchbox or jacket. Should the nu·m8 watch be removed unexpectedly, you will receive an email and / or SMS alert.

When you register your nu·m8, you indicate the mobile number and email address that it will respond to. Once nu·m8 is on your child's wrist and activated, you can locate them anytime in two ways: 1) Using the customer portal at Lok8u.com and view their current location on a map, OR 2) Receive their location via text message using your mobile phone.

You can also set pre-determined "Safe Zones" for your child to play in. Should they move out of this area you will receive an alert to inform you this has happened. nu·m8 utilizes GPS and GSM technology to locate your child indoors, outdoors, in the US as well as globally.

nu·m8 requires a monthly subscription to the Lok8u pinpoint services in order to send unlimited location requests--via the web or your mobile phone.

Know Where They Are
Simply connect to the lok8u customer portal from your PC or text message from your mobile phone to locate your child, anytime, anywhere.

Instant Alerts if Removed
If the strap of your child's nu·m8 is opened without your authority, an immediate alert is sent via SMS and email to warn you this has happened.

Set Your Own Boundaries
The "Safe Zone" feature allows you to easily set your own defined area by time and day. An immediate alert is sent via SMS and email to inform you if your child strays outside this area.

R.I.P Christian Dejons / Autism Safety

Make no mistake, autism is deadly. While some "we don't need no cure" types often deride funding medical research for autism since it is "not a deadly disease", that is simply not the case for many. While children with autism are much more likely to die from an accident in general, Drowning is Leading Cause of Death Among Children with Autism.

Douglas County Sheriff Phil Miller tells WSB the autistic child wandered off from his home in the Middle Lake Subdivision in Villa Rica Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities from all over including the Georgia State Patrol, which provided its helicopter, helped in the search. Hours later, he was found nearby.

"Unfortunately, we found the child in the lake and he had passed away. We don't suspect foul play. It's just a sad, sad tragedy," said Miller.

The child has been identified as Christian Dejons.
